Rainforest Immersion
A private riverfront sanctuary beside the Naranjo River, at the edge of more than 10,000 acres of rainforest protected by our partner Eco Era.

Pathways to Wholeness
Nestled along the Naranjo River in Costa Rica's rainforest, Posada Natura offers intimate plant medicine retreats rooted in Amazonian ceremonial traditions, experienced guidance and thoughtful integration.
At Posada Natura, the ceremony is one part of a much larger journey. We bring together traditional wisdom, mindful preparation, experienced facilitation, contemplative practices and the restorative rhythms of the Costa Rican rainforest.
Rather than focusing on a single extraordinary experience, we invite participants into a more sustained process of inquiry, reflection and integration. Our intimate group setting allows for individual attention, community connection and time to reconnect with the natural world.

Schedule a discovery callPosada Natura is operated by Eco Era, a nonprofit founded in 1991. Unlike most retreat centers, every booking here directly funds the protection of more than 10,000 acres of primary rainforest and the headwaters of the Naranjo and Savegre rivers. Retreats cover roughly 80% of that conservation work.
See the conservation workEight days of ceremony, reflection and rest. You arrive together on the group shuttle, settle into the rainforest and meet your circle before the first ceremony.

Three plant medicine ceremonies are guided by facilitators with decades of experience, several of them rooted in the Kamëntšá healing tradition of Colombia. Between ceremonies the days open up: sleep, swim, write, or simply be quiet.

Individual counseling sessions and group integration circles help you make sense of each ceremony. After you return home, you can schedule integration support whenever you need it.

Mornings begin with optional yoga and meditation. You will swim in the river, walk to a rainforest waterfall, spend a day at Manuel Antonio beach, and share fresh family-style meals with a group that quickly starts to feel like family.
Our facilitators bring at least 15 years of experience with Amazonian plant medicine, many more than two decades. They work closely with people from all backgrounds, including those new to this work. Each retreat date below lists the facilitators leading it.

Ceremonial plant medicine can bring up intense physical and emotional experiences, and difficult or adverse effects are possible. Some health conditions, medications and personal circumstances can make participation inappropriate, so not everyone will be a good fit.
Our plant medicine programs are directly advised by a board of medical doctors, who support intake review and help shape our care practices.

If the team determines the program is not appropriate for you, your deposit is refunded.
At Posada Natura, we believe the most meaningful work often continues after the ceremony. Integration is the process of reflecting on personal experiences, understanding their significance, and considering how new perspectives may shape everyday choices, relationships and wellbeing.
Our retreats create space for that reflection and connection, without assuming that every participant's journey will be the same.
