A quiet place to practice.

Meditation retreats at Posada Natura are led by visiting teachers, from a week of meditation and mindfulness to a month-long silent residential retreat. You practice in our upstairs open-air shala or the octagon fire temple, with the river and the forest all around.

Between sits there is time to walk the gardens, swim in the river and rest in a riverside casita. Every retreat here helps protect more than 10,000 acres of rainforest through Eco Era, our nonprofit partner.

Questions people ask us.

Are there silent meditation retreats?

Yes. Full Awakening Together is a month-long silent, intensive residential retreat held here (see the dates above). Contact us to ask about it.

Where do we meditate?

In the upstairs open-air yoga shala, which holds 40, in the octagon fire temple, which holds 30, and by the river.

How do I book or ask about dates?

Each retreat has its own dates and price. Book a free discovery call or send us a message, and we will help you find the right one.

Can I bring my own group?

Yes. Teachers and leaders host retreats here for groups of 12 to 40, from $200 per person per day with lodging and three farm-to-table meals, and no taxes.

Where is Posada Natura?

On the Naranjo River in Costa Rica, eight miles from Manuel Antonio. It is 2.5 to 4 hours by road from San José airport (SJO), depending on traffic.

Where will I stay?

In our riverside casitas, the octagon bungalow or our neighboring suites. The sanctuary sleeps up to 40 guests.

What is the food like?

Three organic, farm-to-table meals a day, served family-style in our open-air dining hall.

Does my stay help the rainforest?

Yes. Posada Natura is operated by Eco Era, a U.S. 501(c)(3) founded in 1991 that protects more than 10,000 acres of rainforest. Retreats fund roughly 80% of that work.
