Each structure on the land was hand-built by our family with care and intention — from the expansive gathering spaces and ceremonial temple to the practice areas, lounges, dining hall, and freshwater pool. All are thoughtfully woven into lush tropical gardens along the Naranjo River.

Our accommodations are thoughtfully designed to harmonize with the land and immerse you in nature. Built with wood harvested from our property and offering serene riverfront views, each space strikes a balance between rustic charm and refined comfort.

Conscious Cooking

We serve local, organic, farm-to-table cuisine with a homestyle touch — three nourishing meals each day, shared family-style. Our kitchen features seasonal fruits, herbs, and roots from our garden, fresh coconut water, handmade tortillas, and fresh-pressed coconut milk, all prepared with care by our in-house chefs.

Once a cleared cattle pasture, this land was lovingly restored by our family into a thriving rainforest sanctuary of ancient trees, medicinal plants, tropical fruits, vibrant flowers, and wildlife. Peaceful pathways weave through the rainforest to spaces for meditation and connection with nature.

Each retreat experience is rooted in our family’s deep connection to this land — we have protected 10,000 acres of rainforest for over 30 years, 1,100 of which we personally own. These lands are home to primary rainforest, pristine watersheds, hidden waterfalls and swimming holes - offering guests a rare and intimate connection with untouched nature.

Offerings

We’ll take care of all the behind-the-scenes planning for your retreat — from bodywork, meditation, and yoga, to river rafting, beach days, and rainforest excursions on horseback or on foot. We also coordinate seamless airport and ground transportation, so you can focus on the experience, not the logistics.

RAINFOREST & WATERSHED CONSERVATION

Posada Natura is operated by Eco Era, a U.S.-based non-profit (501c3) established in 1991 to protect & steward 10,000 acres of primary rainforest in the Cerro Nara watershed of Costa Rica. This area houses the Rio Naranjo and Rio Savegre watersheds, and constitutes some of the cleanest water in Central America. It is one of the most biodiverse areas on earth with several endemic species and is part of the stretch of unbroken rainforest that reaches from the Pacific Ocean to the Caribbean Sea.

The profits from our retreats directly benefit this rainforest and watershed.
